“We have stayed here several times, most recently for two different weekends in October 2021. On our first October trip this year, we booked well in advance for the Mercy Me concert.On this visit, we met Ron Shuler at the front desk, and his attentiveness and interest in our needs really amazed us. Finding such compassion in frontline workers since the pandemic hit is truly a treasure. Ron shared his vested interest in the overall comfort and contentment to not only us, but to other guests checking in. He also showed a genuine ease with guests who were staying long-term. Because of Ron’s warm personality, when we booked our next trip to Charlotte two weeks later, hands down, we booked at Hyatt House again. In addition to Ron’s reception as the first line of hotel greeting, the overall hotel amenities are great. Not a big posh “Who’s Who”atmosphere. Perfectly located next to the Spectrum Center. Less than a half-mile walking distance to Trade/Tryon. Too many restaurants to mention. Parking across the street for $10/day I think. Daily warm breakfast (included) in a buffet style. **Could use more vegan options for sure. And decaf coffee at the breakfast area. Charlotte is an obvious city change from our Boone mountain log home, but we love being able to visit frequently and embrace the differences. North Carolina is amazing.”
