“For my work I stay prox 2 weeks a month in Berlin. As always I have searched a 5 star hotel and found DorintKurfürstendamm. During my stay I have not experienced a 5 star service. No roomservice, no room cleaning during my stay (4 nights). No water, no desinfection nothing! My room also didn’t smell nice, and carpet was dirty. (Which is clear when you do not clean regularly) The worst experience I got when checking out; Mrs Bongé didn’t understand my complaints because “I don’t understand why you expect a 5 star service, our hotel has no rating and the management is still deciding whether we will be a 3 or 4 star hotel” how can someone say this when this hotel shows up as a 5 star hotel in many booking sites (trivago, hotels.com etc) It is very clear that the management of this hotel has no interest at all to offer good service. Instead the clear focus lays in saving on service costs. I am sure this focus will get more important over the next years while guests won’t be willing to pay for this standard anymore. Just a shame. This hotel has many opportunities and a great location!”
