“As much as I wanted to enjoy my stay at the Hard Rock this past weekend, I could not have been more disappointed with my experience. We arrived at the hotel at 9 pm on Thursday after a long flight and 4 hour drive. When we went to check in, we were told our room was not yet ready. We were confused since check-in is supposed to be at 4pm. The front desk did not give us any reason for the delay, and we had to wait until 10 pm until our room was ready. After waiting over an hour, we had to spend an additional 15 minutes finding our room, as we were placed in a room on the first floor (below the lobby), which way out in a dark corner of the hotel and had view of a large bush blocking any sunlight during the day (a "garden view" room). The room had a musty smell and it did not look like anyone had recently entered it, let alone cleaned it. The next day, we got back to our room around 6 pm from the parks ready to relax, and walked in on a housekeeper making personal calls from our room phone about another guest. The room was not clean, and we had to ask for towels several times before getting any. After our third night, we requested late check out at noon instead of 11am. We were told that we could not check out late as the hotel was fully booked (which is understandable if our room was actually ready on time and not six hours later. For close to $500/night, your money would be much better spent at any other hotel at Orlando.”
