“We have made a reservation for a weekend through Hotels.com on September 1st for December 26-27, so more than 3 months in advance and received confirmation by them on our email. When we got to the hotel it was closed, the phones weren't being answered and no note or sign was at the door to signal it was closed. We never got any email, phone call or text to let us know - 3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE - that the hotel was closed. After unsuccessfully trying to call Hotels.com for help we were left to find another hotel close by, Hotel Convento do Salvador - excellent place. When we got home and were finally able to contact Hotels.com we were informed not even them were able to contact the Alfama Lisbon Lounge Suites and that we'd might be charged with the reservation costs. I do not recommendAlfama Lisbon Lounge Suites neither do I plan to ever use Hotels.com again. Terrible customer service from both.”
