“This is a beautiful albeit small hotel. We stayed on the top floor, one of the rooms with a terrace. The view was beautiful and sitting on that terrace was some of our best moments spent in Rome. It was unbelievably hot in Rome during our trip so being able to sit out there with a cool breeze totally made the stay worth it.Pros: -Gorgeous room -Terrace was unbelievable -Large chairs on terrace, not flimsy -They left complementary champagne and a little gift of dried pasta, olive oil, and pesto in our room -Centrally located, easy to get a cab -Comfortable, king size bed which is rare in Europe -Air conditioning that actually worksCons: -25 euro breakfast was pretty terrible, stale pastries, bacon and eggs order was two mouthfuls of eggs and 2 tiny pieces of bacon (like one piece cut in half really) -breakfast didn't come with our room so we chose to pay for it. We assumed they would charge it to our room but when we entered the restaurant and gave our room number they chased us down yelling that it wasn't included and we needed to pay. We said we understood that it was 25 euro per person... it was in very poor taste. -front desk staff is very friendly but incredibly slow. At check out time there is a line of 10 people waiting because there are only 2 people running the front desk (sometimes only 1) and they sit you down and have a 20 min chat with you just to check out. It's logistical things like this that made us rate this 4 instead of 5 stars. -The hotel in general is short staffed. We asked for an early check in and although we knew it wasn't guaranteed we really hoped they could make it happen. We arrived at 9am. Check in was at 3. At noon they told us our room was being cleaned and would be ready shortly. We checked in at 2:45pm. I get the feeling like there was one one housekeeper.Overall, we would stay again for the view and the comfy bed alone. Este es un hermoso aunque pequeño hotel. Nos alojamos en la planta superior, una de las habitaciones con terraza. La vista era hermosa y sentarse en esa terraza fue uno de los mejores momentos que pasamos en Roma. Hacía un calor increíble en Roma durante nuestro viaje, así que poder sentarnos allí con una brisa fresca hizo que la estancia valiera la pena.Ventajas: -Hermosa habitación -Terraza era increíble -Sillas grandes en terraza, no endebles -Dejaron champán de cortesía y un pequeño regalo de pasta seca, aceite de oliva y pesto en nuestra habitación. -Ubicado en el centro, fácil de conseguir un taxi -Cómoda cama king size, lo cual es raro en Europa -Aire acondicionado que realmente funciona.Contras: - El desayuno de 25 euros era bastante terrible, pasteles rancios, tocino y huevos. El pedido era dos bocados de huevos y 2 pequeños trozos de tocino (como una pieza cortada por la mitad en realidad) -El desayuno no venía con nuestra habitación, así que decidimos pagarlo. Asumimos que lo cargarían a nuestra habitación, pero cuando entramos al restaurante y dimos nuestro número de habitación, nos persiguieron gritando que no estaba incluido y que teníamos que pagar. Dijimos que entendíamos que eran 25 euros por persona... era de muy mal gusto. -El personal de recepción es muy amable pero increíblemente lento. A la hora de la salida hay una fila de 10 personas esperando porque solo hay 2 personas a cargo de la recepción (a veces solo 1) y te sientan y tienen una conversación de 20 minutos contigo solo para hacer la salida. Son cosas logísticas como esta las que nos hicieron calificar este 4 en lugar de 5 estrellas. -El hotel en general tiene poco personal. Pedimos un check-in temprano y, aunque sabíamos que no estaba garantizado, realmente esperábamos que pudieran hacerlo realidad. Llegamos a las 9 am. El registro fue a las 3. Al mediodía nos dijeron que limpiaban nuestra habitación y que estaría lista en breve. Nos registramos a las 2:45 pm. Tengo la sensación de que había una sola ama de llaves.En general, nos alojaríamos de nuevo solo por la vista y la cama cómoda.”

“As indicated from the response by guest services, this hotel cares more about their bottom line than about repeat loyal customers.Based on my experience I will not book with them on my next trip and will advise my international traveling colleagues to not book here.Cannot recommend based on issues experienced and a penalty of almost $300 for no proof of cancelling a duplicate booking.I tried to explain that I did attempt to cancel at least one month in advance but either deleted the email proof of cancellation or never received it.Had I known the cancellation did not go through I would have certainly called to confirm.I stayed 6 nights and each issue I had took 2 requests before being resolved. The issues were 1) no heat in the room for the first 2 nights, 2) unable to use the hair dryer for 2 nights because it had a very small cord and kept pulling out of the wall socket, 3) no internet for 2 nights and no explanation as to why, and 4) housekeeping only brought clean glasses when asked on 5 night’s stay and when I did ask she took 2 glasses from another room and hand washed them in the bathroom sink. Not exactly what I was expecting when asking for clean glasses. Additionally, I booked a month in advance and requested a higher floor or in a quiet location but this was apparently ignored.I would have overlooked all of the above and given a higher rating if the hotel was not ultimately dismissive of my trying to explain that I did cancel the duplicate booking at least a month in advance. I might be able to understand had I not stayed at the hotel at all but I paid for 6 nights. My first booking was cancelled due to uncertainty about the location and was done through their website which I encountered many problems and called their main number at least 3 times for assistance. I later made a reservation again for the same dates and same room. I would expect to be given the benefit of the doubt since I stayed and paid for 6 nights but the response from the hotel front desk was a flat no we won’t refund the penalty. The email they gave me to try and resolve the matter was just an email back to them at the front desk. So due to all of the above, I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel and will not return.”
