EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE BEFORE WE ARRIVE We booked 2 Villas as we are traveling as a family and the hotel has been extremely annoying even before we travel .. honestly speaking I would have canceled my booking BUT in their email said BTW your booking can NOT BE CANCELED ANYMORE .. I booked everything and I am ready to go and deal with those unprofessional people who spoiled a our 4 years of savings to go on a 3 days holiday !! Do you even know how much does it hurt ! Having an child (12 years old is considered would cost you 2900$ extra) just for breakfast!!! How much more money you wanna collect from people and do you understand how much people spend to go on holiday in your resort !! Extremely extremely disappointing and I am really really sad that I am even going there !!

El paraíso, todo increíble! Jamás habíamos comido tan rico en un hotel o resort, la comida exquisita en cualquier restaurante. El personal de la isla no puede ser más majo, sin duda alguna DESTACAR y en mayúsculas a los camareros y camareras, (a Muzaah no lo olvidaremos, que chico más amable y atento), los chicos de limpieza y el chico que iba con los cocos, todos unos encantos. El lugar espectacular al 200%.

I would like to thank Mr. Tima and Mr. Kadeer from reception for their kindness, hospitality and patience and big thank to Mr. Mohamed Vishal at the airport this man was so helpful, polite and straight forward I don't know how to thank this amazing person. Now what I didn't like about the resort is: -The mattress of room 72 was very bad it harmed my back. - most of the food was not delicious wheather at the breakfast or the rest of the restaurants considering the big name Anantara.What I liked about the resort is: -the location is amazing for swimming -Maintaining sustainability 👍 -All the team was extremely friendly & polite.

A dream family vacation with 5 star treatmentThis was 23rd country we visited and undoubtably the best vacation so far since it was not agenda driven. Anantara Dhigu made our stay extremely satisfied with 360 degree hospitality. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids and stayed in both beach villa and over-water villa. The staff at Anantara takes their job very seriously which includes the airport transfers, room boy, receptionist, guest services, waiters, buggy service boys, Chef....! They know your name, your preferences, your taste, and make all the efforts to ensure your stay is beyond expectations. We liked the location as it is just 30 mins transfer on a speedboat. The lagoons are widespread and you can literally cross the islands on foot during a low tide. You can spot sharks, sting rays, fishes, turtles from overwater villa during high-tides.Kids loved beach villa as they could run into the beach anytime of the day. But an experience of overwater villa is a must. I suggest to split it 3:1 or 3:2.Food is extremely tasty with Asian, Italian, Thai, Arabic, Indian cuisines.The chef can also make dishes/drinks of your choice with 1-2 hours notice. We are vegetarian and still had a lot of choices in all the restaurants.There is plenty to do on the resort. The infinity pool is awesome and they also provide family bikes. You can do water sports....life jackets in the room and snorkelling gears are complimentary. They could not offer us late check-out due to high demand, but organised a complimentary guided tour in Male.Overall, we had a real 5 star experience and were taken care with utmost hospitality including room cleaning twice a day. I strongly recommend Anantara resorts even in my dreams. It might cost you a bit more, but the hospitality and memories will be worth the penny spent.

We had a pleasant and memorable stay at Anantara Dhigu. All that you would expect from Maldives; Miles of shallow pristine turquoise water, white sandy beaches, spectacular sunsets, tropical sceneries, and incredible food – You got everything covered at Anantara. The resort itself is a beautiful island, surrounded by a lagoon and we can use the cycles already provided to roam around this little paradise. The wildlife on the island is impressive, and we got to see sharks, sting rays and a multitude of fish directly from our villa balcony. We chose to stay at Sunset over water villa, which is one of their most sort accommodations. The rooms are very spacious with all luxury amenities and a fabulous bath area overlooking the Indian Ocean. Beach essentials like flip flops to life jacket to beach bag were available in the room. From the moment we were received at the airport to the moment we were dropped for departure, every service was seamless and well organized.Food: Food is amazing, and you will find everything you may want. There are four restaurants in Anantara including the sea facing aqua bar where you can get beautiful views of the sunset. The breakfast is served at Fushi cafe which has delicious options. Each morning we are welcomed by the appetizing breakfast spread with Asian/Arabic/Western warm dishes and a wonderful selection of pastries, cold cut fruits, juices, and yoghurt jars. The spread is so big that you won’t be able to taste everything at once. They even have a live smoothie corner. The Thai restaurant Baan Huraa is in another island which requires a boat ride. The view from this restaurant is amazing and has a variety of Thai dishes to choose from. Even with our Half board option we could select our favorites from the menu and enjoyed a full course dinner.Snorkeling: We had direct access to crystal clear water from our villa, which gave us a feeling of privacy and safety. It was my wife’s first time at snorkeling, and she was elated with the magical and blissful feeling. We got to see countless beautiful fishes. Water near to the villa is shallow and safe even for kids. Evenings are not recommended for water activities as the sea is a bit rough.Guest Relations - Every team member of the resort had a pleasant smiling face always and was ready to assist with anything.The resident manager Mr. Supratik Guha is very friendly and can be approached for any support.On the whole, it was a soulful retreat, and we are surely coming back.On a separate note on the travel, immigration at the airport is messy, be ready for long queues and the chances of bags getting switched is very common. It is highly recommended to place unique markings or use cover for your luggage to avoid such issues. We had to survive one day without clothes and other essentials because of this. Luckily the airport and hotel team provides good assistance in coordinating to get the luggage back.

I love everything about Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort. It was beyond expectation. The resort is natural beauty and rich in local culture, and that only you can feel & appreciate it when staying there. I enjoyed my time very much, even it was a short stay due to time limit. I will be back soon, need more time to explore Dhigu entirely. Service is excellent, also staffs are friendly and tentative. Food is absolutely perfect.

A special thank you to the full team at Anantara Dhigu for making our wedding celebrations beyond our wildest dreams. From the time of check-in until departure, the entire hotel team has gone beyond to make sure everyone was treated royally and had the absolute best experience possible. The food was phenomenal with a large variety of cuisines, which included local Maldivian delicacies. With the beautiful shades of blue all around the island, spacious and luxurious villas, Anantara Dhigu has truly won our hearts and I cannot wait to return in the future. A big thank you to Giles and the entire team!

Stayed at Anantara Dhigu end of March 2022 with my family. My kids had such an amazing time and the hotel staff was just amazing! They even upgraded us to a higher room category which was very much appreciated. We will definitely be back next year ❤️

Anantara Dhigu!! What a fabulous experience .. Greats:- 1. Big room sizes. We stayed as a family of 4 (indian vegatarian) and when we checked in already 2 separate beds were made properly for both my children. 2. Kids under 12 eat free in the resort for all 3 meals 3. Main swimming pool is very big and has an excellent view of the lagoon . Can see sunset from the pool 4. Lagoon waters are shallow and great with kids 5. The hotel has good amount of privacy and does not feel crowded 6. The Dhoni kids club is excellent to keep the kids occupied and with loads of activities and treehouse , tents, swings etc - highly recommended for younger kids 7. Housekeeping service done very nicely twice during the stay. Farook, the house keeping staff very nicely did up the room for my daughters 10th bday and she was extremely happy. Also since we were at sea the whole day the entire room used to be filled with towels and sand but every time we can back the room was so nicely done up with a smile from their staff. 8. Swings in the sea 9. Lot of activities like scuba, surfing, snorkeling etc available. 10.Hammocks and swings around the island to just lie down and chill 11. Bandminton , volleyball and basketball courts- little tough to play badminton on sand but was fun 12. I didn’t try the spa but did look great 13. You can take a boat ride to connected island for meals for dinner - their Thai restaurant is excellent 14. Buffet breakfast is amazing - lots of variety Indian , Arabic, freshly made smoothies - they also made egg free batter for pancakes crepe’s etc for my children 15. Very hospitable staff 16. My 10 year old daughter did a scuba ( 7 ft) and surfing for the first time. I was very scared but the trainers made her feel so comfortable and I was so happy that she got this experience 17. Champagne on arrival and cupcakes with extra decorations available for the children. 18. The property is just 30-35 mins by speed boat from Male - so you can reach quickly 19. Checkin done at the Anantara kiosk at the airport only so we went straight to the roomDownside.- 1. Expensive (but maybe everything above makes it worth it ) . We took Half board which is highly recommended if not full board 2. Lunch could have more vegetarian options (though they hotel tried their best to make everything we asked ) 3. Anantara Veli was closed for renovations so we didn’t get to go there for dinner 4. Indians might miss indian foodBut overall had a lovely Experience . My children especially would remember this for a lifetime . 🥰 Thank you

Mind blowing. The breakfast place and all the variety of restaurants are amazing. We stayed at the sunset beach pool villa the rooms were fab the pool was beautiful. there is even a private island with loads of sea life, the lagoon is sallow and clear. Worth every penny \

Well.....we just finished our stay there and it was fantastic. A very good thai restaurant which is on the adjacent island. Super friendly and helpful staff all over the island from kids club to aqua bar. The beach villa we stayed was above expectation so the only feedback on that would be "dont under sell it on your website, its not clear from website what you are getting" We have been to the Maledives before and from our experience this was the best resort so far. I can go on but I think you get the picture.......so many options but for this budget this resort will not disappoint! Piece of paradise.

Amazing staff, all very attentive and they pay attention to the small details. The staff go out of their way to provide dishes for one of our young fussy eaters even though the children’s menu is excellent. The children’s club is filled with activities throughout the day and is safe. Next to this island is the adult island (2 min boat ride), this is open even to families after 630pm for dinner. I recommend kids movie nights, let them watch and eat with other children, leaving the parents to have a quiet, romantic dinner on the adult island. The room has life jackets and if you can just in front of the main restaurant is a coral bed full of fish. So children can just snorkel right there (fins, snorkel, masks can be borrowed for free from the activities centre). Highly recommend bringing your own sun cream, the UV in Maldives is very strong, you will need a lot of it! The Villa we had was large enough for a family of 4 with our own private sun beds. The sunset villas are on the windy side with stronger currents facing the open ocean. The sunrise villas have the quieter currents as they face into the lagoon. Either one is great really. The gym is okay for quick workouts, otherwise for runners, I ran around the island every morning, about 1.3km a full oval shape. We’ve tried all the restaurants and prices are very reasonable for a five star resort. Children below 12 eat for free which is a plus. The activities (scuba diving, shark swimming, etc) is run by PADI with experienced teams. A bit on the pricey side, however, if possible I recommend the snorkelling with nurse sharks as a minimum (harmless, so great for kids too) - it is an unbelievable experience and you are truly close to them. If you can swim well enough, be the last to come back on the boat (45 minute experience), the sharks come very close to you looking for more food, at 2m size sharks, this gets a bit nerve racking, especially when there are 4 around you!

Great resort, apologies to the team for posting review 1 month after visit:). still an exceptional memories.very calm place, even thought its is a family resort, you still able to chill and relax, loved sustainability touch, still not many chain hotels taking that approach.Team is well trained,welcoming and going out of their ways to help. Thanks to Sergio, Joker, watersport team, and Chef in Sea.Fure.Salt, ceviche was extraordinary, overall food options and quality is at very high standards. Highly recommend and we most probably will be back again.

Great Resort, all you need is available. The service is excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The resort is kids friendly and great for families. Maravilloso resort. La laguna es preciosa. Puedes optar por comer en los restaurantes del mismo resort o ir a una isla a la que se llega con un barquito que te recoge y tarda un minuto en llegar. Así tienes más opciones de probar restaurantes diferentes. La comida muy buena.El staff es encantador. Y en cuanto al tema covid puedes ir tranquilo porque además de que todo el staff está vacunado, toman las medidas necesarias para mantener a salvo a los huéspedes. Recomiendo 100% este resort. Resort perfecto para familias. No hay arrecife cercano por lo que no hay mucha fauna marina pero la playa es preciosa

Después de varios meses de organizar nuestro viaje a Maldives, nuestra mejor elección fue Anantara Dighu Resort por su tan bonita isla y su gran y espectacular laguna turquesa en todo su entorno hacen que sea una de las mejores islas de todo Maldivas. Atención por parte del personal fue encantadora, cercana y muy profesional en todo momento. Las villas over water pool villa y beach villa cada una con su encanto particularnos hicieron vivir una experiencia diferente en cada una de ellas y no sabría decidirme por cual nos gustó más....fantásticas las 2. Asistencia médica rápida y amable muy importante si es necesaria. Los restaurantes todos exquisitos pero el Thailandes deAnantara Veli de nuestros preferidos pero en cualquiera de ellos la comida y el servicio fue excelente. Volveremos en cuanto nos sea posible con otra ilusión como la de casarnos de nuevo en Anantara Dighu Resort. Gracias a todo el personal por hacer realidad un viaje de ensueño.

No repetiré NUNCA!!! El servicio muy malo y desagradable. Los precios abusivos y el “todo incluido”, un engaño. Después de pagar el exagerado precio del todo incluido, este no incluye casi nada. Una cerveza, cuesta entre 14 y 20$, según le apetezca al camarero. Te tratan mal y te hacen sentir mal porque no dejas propina. Si tienes algún problema, no hace falta comentarlo en recepción, pues no te hacen caso.......y podría seguir, pero no vale la pena perder el tiempo.

Excelente. No al nivel del Anantara Kihavah, pero es un hotelazo. Laguna preciosa. House reef escaso. Servicio excelente. Entorno (con la posibilidad de cambiar de isla) magnífico. Ideal para ir con niños. Desayuno indecente. El restaurante tailandés una maravilla por ubicación y calidad. Relación calidad precio muy muy buena. Un gran recuerdo para toda la familia. Y a sólo media hora de Male

Simplemente es el paraíso. Espectacular en todos los aspectos. El servicio es excelente. El personal muy amable y profesional y la comida exquisita y de calidad. Los colores azules del agua son indescriptibles y las cabañas sobre el mar son increíbles. El baño merece un punto y aparte: la bañera mirando a la inmensidad con unas puertas que se abren y te transportan a otro mundo. Repetiré sin duda alguna.
